LPN Medication Nurse - (Part Time) (Opioid Addiction Treatment)

Location: On-site in Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA

Salary: $26/hour plus bonus structure

A network of Joint Commission-accredited treatment centers providing opioid addiction treatment and support for individuals with substance use disorders.

What you will do

• Administer methadone according to physician orders and assess patients before and after dosing.
• Screen new and current patients for treatment appropriateness and monitor physicals and laboratory work.
• Collect urine specimens, document test results, and maintain accurate patient dosing records.
• Manage medication shipments, supplies, dosing equipment, and inventory reconciliation in accordance with DEA and company procedures.
• Report medication discrepancies, support treatment center improvements, and participate in treatment team meetings and training.
• Train new nurses and help maintain accreditation, quality, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Current RN license preferred, or LPN/LVN license as specified in the posting.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Valid driver's license.
• Accurate data-entry skills, basic computing knowledge, and familiarity with standard office equipment.
• Ability to work independently under pressure, handle multiple tasks, and react quickly.
• Knowledge of medical equipment including dosing equipment, centrifuges, physical assessment tools, test strips, and breathalyzers.

Nice to have

• Experience in chemical addiction treatment.
• Phlebotomist certification or willingness to obtain it if required.
