NPI - Product Technical Expert (m/f/d) (Semiconductor Industry)

Location: Heimstetten, Germany. Travel required for 10% of the time. Relocation is not eligible.

Salary: €70,400–€96,800 per year, plus potential bonus and stock award compensation.

What you will do

• Own the technical direction of a product line across the full lifecycle, from NPI through volume production.
• Evaluate and qualify components with industrial and supplier engineering teams against technical, quality, and cost requirements.
• Drive design for manufacturability to improve cost, quality, uptime, and product performance.
• Support prototype builds and system integration during the NPI phase.
• Run AI initiatives for optimization and lead continuous improvement and design enhancements with R&D and manufacturing.
• Maintain technical documentation and manage engineering change orders while monitoring semiconductor industry and process trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, or systems engineering.
• Profound product development experience in the semiconductor equipment or high-tech capital equipment industry.
• Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes, including lithography, etch, deposition, and metrology.
• Experience with vacuum systems, robotics, high-voltage management, or precision motion control is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally in a global environment.
• Knowledge of CAD tools such as SolidWorks or NX, PLM systems, LEAN methods, or SAP is advantageous.
