Application Engineer/Administrator (Kubernetes)

What you will do

• Install, configure, administer, monitor, and maintain applications across production and non-production environments.
• Tune application performance and continuously improve service efficiency and quality.
• Handle incident, change, release, and problem resolution activities.
• Write and validate application procedures, troubleshooting guides, and backup and restore plans.
• Automate recurring administration procedures and prepare installation and technical support documentation.
• Maintain the technical knowledge base and report on application availability, performance, capacity, and usage.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of relevant experience.
• At least 6 years of experience in mid-to-large IT infrastructure environments, including application deployment, support, and maintenance.
• At least 5 years of application administration experience and 2 years working with microservices, container orchestration, and container-based stacks.
• Experience administering and supporting Elasticsearch, including Elasticsearch cluster deployment and administration.
• At least 5 years working with enterprise Microsoft or Linux server solutions.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, Rancher, configuration management, shell or PowerShell scripting, and ITIL processes.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of DevOps, relational databases such as MS SQL or PostgreSQL, Kong API Gateway, and public or hybrid cloud services including Azure or AWS.
• Relevant certifications in the listed technologies.
