Fullstack Software Engineer (.NET and React)

Location: Budapest, Hungary; hybrid work model with onsite attendance at least 50% of the time for employees within commuting distance of a hirify.global office

What you will do

• Implement responsive UI improvements and connect them with APIs and backend services.
• Use agentic coding assistants and AI workflows to accelerate delivery, prototype quickly, and automate repetitive engineering tasks.
• Review, debug, refactor, and validate AI-generated code for architectural quality, security, edge cases, performance, and test coverage.
• Collaborate with product designers, product managers, and engineers in agile cross-functional squads.
• Participate in code reviews, optimize client-side performance, and promote clean, maintainable code.

Requirements

• Professional experience building modern responsive web applications with JavaScript or TypeScript and component-based frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
• Experience navigating backend services, RESTful APIs, and basic data models to deliver complete features independently.
• Hands-on daily experience with AI development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Windsurf.
• Strong ability to audit, debug, and refactor generated code for edge cases, performance bottlenecks, and architectural coherence.
• Strong communication, product-first problem-solving, and willingness to collaborate with a Budapest-based team.

Nice to have

• Experience with automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing using tools such as Jest, Playwright, or Cypress.
• Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD deployment pipelines.
• Experience building custom agentic workflows, prompt chains, or LLM-driven tooling.
• Exposure to AWS, Azure, or distributed systems.
