Principal SAP Integration Architect (SAP)

Location: Remote, Brazil. Minimal travel may be required for occasional team meetings or training.

What you will do

• Design and own the integration architecture between the Agentic ERP Platform and SAP ECC/EHP environments.
• Define SAP tool taxonomies and implement connectors using BAPIs, RFCs, IDocs, OData, and SAP JCo.
• Design transaction boundaries, commit/rollback strategies, concurrency controls, idempotency, and safe-write patterns.
• Implement tiered SAP tool autonomy from Read through Draft, Supervised, and Autonomous execution.
• Build validation, transformation, fallback, connection-management, and multi-system landscape capabilities.
• Guide engineering, AI data, QA, security, and Oracle integration counterparts on SAP-specific architecture and testing.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience working with SAP systems, including deep SAP ECC and Enhancement Package knowledge.
• 8+ years of integration engineering experience with APIs, connectors, or enterprise middleware.
• Hands-on experience with BAPIs, RFCs, IDocs, OData, CDS views, ABAP fundamentals, and SAP JCo.
• Experience with Java 21, Quarkus 3.x, RESTful APIs, PostgreSQL, OpenTelemetry, Git, CI/CD, and integration testing.
• Experience designing integrations for complex, multi-module SAP implementations and understanding of SAP business processes.
• Fluent English required in written and verbal communication.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP CPI, SAP Integration Suite, SAP Gateway, SAP BTP, or SAP HANA.
• Familiarity with MCP, agent-tool interface patterns, or durable execution platforms such as Restate.
• Knowledge of SAP authorization concepts, S/4HANA compatibility and migration considerations, or SAP certifications.
• Portuguese language skills, a relevant bachelor's or master's degree, and experience in SAP consulting or enterprise software support.
