Senior AI Integration Engineer (Workato)

Location: Poland or Romania; remote or office work

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain Workato integrations and automated workflows across enterprise applications, databases, APIs, and AI services.
• Develop AI-enabled solutions including copilots, knowledge assistants, document extraction, classification, summarization, and decision-support workflows.
• Build secure data pipelines with mapping, transformation, validation, synchronization, governance, lineage, retention, privacy, and access controls.
• Create reusable integration components and standards for error handling, logging, monitoring, retries, alerting, and responsible AI safeguards.
• Troubleshoot production integrations, resolve performance issues, and conduct root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, architects, security teams, data engineers, and application owners while supporting testing, deployment, release management, and documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of experience in integration engineering, automation, data engineering, or a related role.
• Production experience with Workato recipes, connections, triggers, actions, callable recipes, lookup tables, environments, and error handling.
• Experience with REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, XML, OAuth 2.0, API keys, and common authentication patterns.
• Experience integrating AI services, large language models, or machine-learning APIs into business processes.
• Proficiency in SQL, relational databases or cloud data platforms, Git, CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and production support.

Nice to have

• Workato Automation Pro or related certification.
• Experience with Salesforce, ServiceNow, NetSuite, Workday, SAP, Snowflake, Databricks, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Exposure to OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, or Anthropic.
• Familiarity with RAG, vector databases, embeddings, prompt engineering, AI-agent workflows, Python, or JavaScript.
