Regulatory Controls Testing Manager

Location: Warsaw, Poland; hybrid policy with 3 days per week in the Warsaw office

What you will do

• Lead independent second-line testing of regulatory controls for The Currency Cloud Limited.
• Assess control design and operating effectiveness against regulatory requirements and internal standards.
• Define testing scopes, sampling approaches, and procedures for complex and high-risk reviews.
• Identify control weaknesses, root causes, issue ratings, and remediation opportunities.
• Review testing quality, validate issue closure, and prepare management information and governance materials.
• Build relationships with Control Owners, Compliance, Risk, business stakeholders, Internal Audit, and regulators.

Requirements

• Experience in regulatory compliance, compliance assurance, monitoring and testing, risk, audit, or a similar assurance function.
• Experience managing a team and supporting the development of junior team members.
• Strong understanding of UK financial services regulation and regulatory control frameworks.
• Experience conducting control design and operating effectiveness reviews.
• Strong analytical, investigative, report-writing, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
• Ability to apply sound judgment and a pragmatic, risk-based approach.
