Test & Automation Engineer (Automotive)

Location: Onsite in Silao, Guanajuato, Mexico

What you will do

• Support and lead new product launches while balancing timing, costs, and quality.
• Specify, order, and install production equipment.
• Ensure targeted process capability for manufacturing processes.
• Achieve required technical availability and process quality for assigned equipment and production lines.
• Coordinate with global industrial engineering and central functions to standardize software, hardware, automation, and test methods.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electronic, automation engineering, or a related field.
• Advanced English.
• At least 3 years of experience in the automotive industry or a related field.
• Experience with at least one automation programming environment and language, such as Siemens TIA Portal or Beckhoff TwinCAT 2/3.
• Knowledge of industrial and automotive bus communications, including Ethernet, PROFINET, EtherCAT, CAN, or CAN-FD; one high-level programming language, preferably .NET C#; and object-oriented programming.
• Knowledge of manufacturing technology, automotive manufacturing processes, IT manufacturing environments, cybersecurity, test-system quality evaluation, and IATF/VDA requirements.
