Vision Center Manager, Dual Licensed (Optical)

Location: 140 Wade Rd, Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada; onsite at the Walmart Supercenter.

Salary: CAD 34.45–45.22 per hour, based on relevant experience.

Walmart operates a retail Vision Centre providing optical products and services within its Supercenter.

What you will do

• Manage daily people, operations, and merchandise activities within the Vision Centre.
• Deliver the sales budget and control wages in line with P&L expectations.
• Develop the optical business by executing programs and promoting the Walmart brand.
• Build collaborative relationships with optometrists and other healthcare providers.
• Accept and evaluate written prescription orders from customers and doctors.
• Maintain safe, fully operational service during posted business hours and delegate tasks within the applicable regulatory framework.

Requirements

• Be at least 16 years old.
• Work within the applicable provincial and federal regulatory environment.
• Follow professional standards and guidelines for dispensing prescription and non-prescription eyewear.
• Maintain equipment and follow emergency policies to protect the optical team and the public.
