Software Developer (Java)

Salary: $80,000–$100,000 CAD per year

What you will do

• Write clean, readable, modular, and testable Java code.
• Build end-to-end solutions, REST APIs, and production-grade systems.
• Write unit and end-to-end tests, including boundary and negative test cases.
• Create documentation for external API endpoints and data structures.
• Own simple projects independently while working under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Collaborate with product management, design, sales, and engineering teams through reviews, planning, brainstorming, and retrospectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience developing with Java.
• Experience delivering end-to-end solutions from scratch and maintaining production systems.
• Knowledge of web services, REST APIs, Core Java, Spring Framework, J2EE, and Reactor.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, MySQL or MongoDB, data structures, algorithms, and JUnit.
• Working knowledge of Docker or Rkt, Kubernetes, Mesos or OpenShift, and RabbitMQ or Kafka.

Nice to have

• Experience with React, Redux, or AngularJS.
• Knowledge of design patterns, integration testing, performance testing, and Agile development.
