Senior Azure Platform Engineer (Azure)

Location: Bulgaria, Poland, or Romania; work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and operate secure and scalable Azure platform capabilities.
• Build and manage infrastructure with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
• Lead Azure networking across connectivity, routing, segmentation, security, and hybrid infrastructure.
• Implement governance, security policies, platform guardrails, and Azure Well-Architected improvements.
• Design CI/CD and GitOps processes, automation, observability, and developer-facing self-service capabilities.
• Apply Generative AI to infrastructure development, diagnostics, automation, and operational troubleshooting while mentoring engineers and collaborating across technical teams.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, cloud networking, and platform engineering, including Azure delivery at scale.
• Hands-on expertise with Terraform module design and state management; ARM/Bicep knowledge is an advantage.
• Strong Azure networking and security experience covering identity, governance, connectivity, segmentation, hybrid infrastructure, and security controls.
• Experience with infrastructure CI/CD, GitOps, scripting and automation in Python or PowerShell, and Azure observability.
• Experience building developer-facing platforms, reusable templates, onboarding flows, or similar developer experience improvements.
• Good command of English at minimum B2 level; work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.

Nice to have

• Structured application of Generative AI within the SDLC, including workflows, prompt patterns, or integrated tools.
• Familiarity with agent-based workflows, AI-augmented development, and other emerging AI-driven practices.
