Payment Operations & Treasury Manager (Fintech): Executing fiat and crypto payment operations, treasury transfers, liquidity activities, wallet rebalancing, and custody operations with an accent on safeguarding, operational controls, and regulated financial infrastructure. Focus on investigating payment exceptions, maintaining audit-ready records, improving operational processes, and coordinating with Finance, Compliance, Risk, Product, and Engineering.
Location: Hybrid role based in Luxembourg; candidates must already be based in Luxembourg or be willing to relocate.
Company
holds EMI and CASP licenses from the CSSF and builds international payments infrastructure connecting fiat payments, foreign exchange, and digital financial services.
What you will do
- Execute daily fiat and crypto payment operations, including treasury transfers, wallet rebalancing, and custody-related activities.
- Support liquidity management through timely funding, cash movements, and operational readiness across fiat and digital asset accounts.
- Monitor payment flows, cash positions, and operational balances, escalating and resolving exceptions.
- Maintain operational controls, records, and documentation supporting customer funds safeguarding, audits, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive automation and continuous improvement across payment and treasury operations.
- Coordinate with Finance, Compliance, Risk, Product, Engineering, and external stakeholders on operational processes and product initiatives.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in payment operations, treasury operations, or financial operations within a regulated financial institution.
- Experience in an EMI, bank, payment institution, VASP/CASP, or fintech environment.
- Strong understanding of payment operations, treasury management, liquidity management, and operational controls.
- Experience working in a highly regulated environment with strong risk awareness and operational ownership.
- Cross-functional experience with Finance, Compliance, Risk, Product, and Engineering teams, plus strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Professional fluency in English.
Nice to have
- Experience in a Luxembourg-regulated financial institution.
- Familiarity with CSSF regulatory expectations, PSD2, and MiCA.
