Senior Lead Fund Controller

Location: Luxembourg, Luxembourg; hybrid schedule with work from the office 4 days a week and flexibility to work remotely 1 day a week.

Base salary: EUR 60,000–130,000 per year.

What you will do

• Manage auditor and administrator relationships for fund financial reporting across Ireland, Luxembourg, and the Cayman Islands.
• Coordinate annual fund and management company audits, review annual and semi-annual financial statements, and oversee long-form reporting.
• Oversee Luxembourg Management Company financial reporting, accounting activities, trial balances, budgets, reconciliations, disclosures, and regulatory filings.
• Review control environments, SOC reports, service-level performance, operational risks, internal audit actions, and remediation of deficiencies.
• Support Board of Managers/Directors and Conducting Person reporting, UCITS/AIFM governance, breach monitoring, and implementation of new regulatory requirements.
• Lead or support process improvement, regulatory change, reporting automation, vendor due diligence, business continuity, and fund control projects.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree.
• Experience in the funds or banking industry, ideally involving UCITS and regulated alternative funds domiciled in Europe and the Cayman Islands.
• Sound knowledge of Luxembourg GAAP and IFRS.
• Experience overseeing a management company.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong IT and data enquiry skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Team-oriented attitude.
• Fluency in English.

Nice to have

• Project management and/or fund accounting experience.
• ACCA, ACA, or equivalent qualification; relevant experience may also be considered.
