Journalism Coordinator - Part Time : EXT

Location: Cambridge, United Kingdom. Office-based role at hirify.global Radio Cambridgeshire.

Salary: £24,500–£27,000 per annum, depending on relevant skills, knowledge, and experience.

What you will do

• Support the producer and presenter in preparing and delivering eight hours of live weekend programming each week.
• Identify relevant guests and stories for audiences across Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, and Suffolk.
• Produce and edit audio and manage live sources during broadcasts.
• Arrange guests, speak with callers, and prepare contributors for going on air.
• Compile travel news, write scripts, and provide research background.
• Develop story ideas and creative treatments while supporting a multiplatform content approach.

Requirements

• Experience outputting live radio programmes.
• Experience working with presenters and supporting a live studio environment.
• Experience using social media and digital opportunities to engage audiences.
• Ability to develop creative treatments for strong storytelling.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while remaining calm under pressure.

• Knowledge of Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, and Suffolk.
