(USA) Staff, Software Engineer (React/TypeScript)

Location: Onsite at the Bentonville, Arkansas Home Office, United States

Salary: $110,000–$220,000 per year, plus performance-based bonuses and potential stock compensation.

What you will do

• Architect and lead large-scale React and TypeScript frontend applications and micro-frontend architectures.
• Drive decisions on state management, component libraries, design systems, API integration, and frontend performance.
• Establish observability through instrumentation, performance monitoring, Core Web Vitals, and error tracking.
• Identify and resolve frontend performance bottlenecks using profiling tools and browser DevTools.
• Partner with security and compliance teams to meet privacy, SSP, and Online Tracking Technology standards.
• Translate complex stakeholder problems into technical requirements while providing technical leadership and mentoring.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript.
• Strong command of Node and server-side rendering patterns.
• Experience building component libraries, design systems, and micro-frontend or modular frontend systems at scale.
• Proficiency with RESTful and GraphQL API integration, software design patterns, prototyping, and API design.
• Experience across the full software development lifecycle, including coding, testing, CI/CD deployment, and observability.
• Bachelor’s degree plus four years of software engineering experience, or six years of relevant experience; experience with AI/ML integration and technical mentoring is required.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a relevant computer science or software engineering field.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility best practices.
