Senior Counsel, Operations Legal (Biotech)

Salary: $160,500–$305,000 per year

What you will do

• Advise cross-functional operations, construction and engineering, and real estate teams on commercial, regulatory, and operational legal matters.
• Interpret U.S. laws and global regulations applicable to pharmaceutical and healthcare activities.
• Review, draft, negotiate, and manage contracts, business activities, and strategic initiatives.
• Develop and implement legal policies, compliance programs, and training initiatives.
• Draft and negotiate design-build, general contractor, construction management, architect and engineering, subcontractor, consultant, EPC, and infrastructure agreements.
• Handle purchase and sale agreements, ground and commercial leases, easements, licenses, access agreements, development agreements, and property management agreements.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in the job location.
• At least 5 years of relevant legal experience in-house at a pharmaceutical company, in a recognized life sciences or healthcare law practice, with a government agency, or a combination of these.
• Ability to advise business clients, assess legal risk in real time, and provide clear guidance on complex legal questions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to translate legal complexity into business clarity.

• Experience with biopharma, healthcare, or life sciences compliance topics.
• Experience handling complex matters with autonomy and cross-functional collaboration.
