Specialist Engineer - Asset/SPIR Coordination (Offshore - WHTs, Subsea Cable & Piping, B/Fs)

Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; initially based in the contractor's office or fabrication yard office, with possible later assignment to the offshore site on a 6-weeks-on/3-weeks-off rotation.

What you will do

• Develop and coordinate asset registers, asset hierarchies, equipment tags, and master data for offshore projects.
• Review and validate vendor SPIR submissions, spare-parts recommendations, interchangeability, criticality, and stocking levels.
• Coordinate asset-management engineering deliverables, vendor documentation, design reviews, and technical clarifications.
• Support asset and SPIR coordination for Wellhead Towers, subsea cables, offshore piping, boat landings, foundation brackets, structural steel, utilities, and mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems.
• Coordinate handover and commissioning documentation, turnover dossiers, operation manuals, and asset-record migration into CMMS or ERP systems.
• Interface with engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, operations, maintenance, supply chain, vendors, and the client.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 15–18 years of experience in offshore oil and gas, EPC/EPCI, fabrication, or asset-management projects.
• At least 5 years of experience in asset coordination, SPIR management, master data management, or project handover.
• Demonstrated experience with offshore facilities including Wellhead Towers, subsea cable systems, offshore piping, boat landings, foundation brackets, and structural systems.
• Experience with brownfield and greenfield offshore projects; Middle East offshore project experience is advantageous.

Nice to have

• Professional certification in Asset Management or Maintenance Management.
• Middle East offshore project experience.
