Payment Operations Analyst (Fintech)

hirify.global is a fast-growing fintech expanding its payment and business-banking platform from Australia into the United Kingdom.

What you will do

• Monitor and manage disputes across Mastercard, Visa, FPS, and BACS payment rails.
• Investigate transaction issues, escalate operational problems, and coordinate resolutions with internal and external stakeholders.
• Perform accurate daily and monthly reconciliation of internal accounts.
• Prepare payment-rail reporting in line with regulatory obligations and support governance activities.
• Improve procedures, document processes, refine SLAs, and contribute to business requirements for product enhancements.
• Act as a primary contact for payment-scheme inquiries and coordinate merchant debt recovery.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in payment operations.
• Understanding of UK safeguarding rules.
• Proficiency in card dispute resolution and BACS and FPS dispute processes.
• Experience implementing process improvements and managing escalation procedures.
• Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder engagement, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively while processing data reliably and meeting deadlines.

Nice to have

• Experience in high-growth environments, financial services, or EMI/payments.
• Proficiency in SQL and business intelligence tools.
