Payment Operations Analyst (Fintech)

hirify.global is a fast-growing fintech expanding its business payment, financial, and banking services from Australia into the United Kingdom.

What you will do

• Monitor and manage disputes across Mastercard, Visa, FPS, and BACS payment rails while maintaining compliance and customer satisfaction.
• Investigate transaction and payment-operation issues, take ownership of escalations, and coordinate resolutions with internal and external teams.
• Perform accurate daily and monthly reconciliation of internal accounts and prepare payment-rail reporting for regulatory obligations.
• Recommend and implement procedure improvements, document processes, refine SLAs, and assist with business requirements for product enhancements.
• Act as the primary contact for payment-scheme inquiries and business-as-usual projects, including coordinating merchant debt recovery.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in payment operations.
• Understanding of UK safeguarding rules.
• Proficiency in card dispute resolution and BACS and FPS dispute processes.
• Experience implementing process improvements and handling escalation procedures.
• Ability to challenge the status quo and work both autonomously and collaboratively.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Highly organised, disciplined, and detail-oriented, with proven reliability in data processing, problem-solving, and meeting deadlines.

Nice to have

• Experience in high-growth environments, financial services, or EMI/payments.
• Proficiency in SQL and BI tools.
