Executive Director- Media & Entertainment

Location: Remote California; preference for California-based candidates

Salary: $150,000–$175,000 annually, depending on experience

The Hollywood Professional Association is a U.S.-based nonprofit organization advancing the needs, interests, and policies of media and entertainment professionals.

What you will do

• Develop and execute HPA’s multi-year strategic roadmap.
• Build industry partnerships, collaborations, and revenue opportunities.
• Represent HPA at industry, government, and community events.
• Support the Board of Directors with governance, planning, and policy development.
• Lead budgeting, financial oversight, vendor management, and organizational accountability.
• Direct operations, staff management, program delivery, advisory councils, and industry events.

Requirements

• Proven executive leadership experience in a nonprofit, association, or member-based organization.
• Strong strategic planning, governance, organizational management, financial management, and budgeting skills.
• Experience working with boards of directors and executive committees.
• Experience managing staff, consultants, and organizational operations.
• Strong relationship-building, stakeholder engagement, communication, public speaking, and brand ambassador skills.
• Knowledge of the media and entertainment industry is preferred.
