Applied AI Engineer

Location: New York, NY, USA; onsite 4 days a week. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.

Salary: $157,000–$200,000 per year

What you will do

• Design and develop machine learning models for natural language processing, chatbots, and enterprise AI systems.
• Build and optimize end-to-end AI/ML pipelines from data preprocessing through model deployment.
• Integrate AI models into production environments with backend engineers using LangChain and cloud services.
• Improve model accuracy, speed, robustness, scalability, and reliability through optimization and evaluation.
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver AI-driven solutions.
• Document AI workflows, models, and algorithms for long-term maintainability.

Requirements

• 4–7 years of experience in AI/ML engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in Python and AI/ML libraries including Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Hugging Face.
• Strong understanding of NLP and experience building chatbot or conversational AI systems.
• Hands-on experience with data preprocessing, model training, evaluation, deployment, and production scaling.
• Familiarity with Jupyter Notebook, AWS, GCP, or Azure, as well as Git and GitHub.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with reinforcement learning, transfer learning, or other advanced AI techniques.
• Knowledge of model monitoring, A/B testing, and continuous improvement strategies.
• Experience with Docker for deploying AI solutions.
