Counsel, Product Legal Counsel, Product Legal (Fintech)

Location: New York City, United States

Salary: $146,000–$255,000 annual base pay, plus potential equity and bonus.

What you will do

• Advise the Strategic Partnerships team on complex and novel agreements.
• Support negotiations, contract review, drafting, and transaction management.
• Provide legal and regulatory guidance to Product, management, local legal teams, Risk, and Compliance.
• Coordinate with local counsel across jurisdictions to develop effective paths to market.
• Work with senior stakeholders globally and manage external counsel and regulatory consultants.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a lawyer at a top firm, in-house, or a combination of both.
• Experience advising Product and supporting commercial documents and terms.
• Strong drafting, communication, stakeholder management, and multitasking skills.
• Proactive, results-driven approach with strong professionalism, integrity, and ownership.
• Ability to learn new areas of law quickly and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Nice to have

• In-house legal experience in fintech or financial institutions.
• Expertise in payments, card networks, or fintech.
• Experience working with stakeholders across the globe.
