Counsel, Product Legal Counsel, Product Legal (Fintech)

Location: New York City, United States

Salary: $146,000–$255,000 per year, plus equity and bonus.

What you will do

• Act as a legal thought partner to the Strategic Partnership team on complex and novel partner agreements.
• Support negotiations and manage the review and drafting of strategic partnership contracts.
• Advise product teams, local legal teams, support functions, management, and Legal, Risk, and Compliance.
• Coordinate with local counsel across jurisdictions to develop legally and regulatorily sound paths to market.
• Work with senior stakeholders globally and manage external regulatory counsel and consultants.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a lawyer at a top firm, in-house, or a combination of both.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, drafting, and multitasking skills.
• Experience advising product teams and supporting commercial documents and terms.
• Ability to learn new areas of law quickly and work proactively with strong ownership.
• High professionalism, integrity, work ethic, and collaborative team skills.

Nice to have

• In-house legal experience in fintech or financial institutions.
• Expertise in payments, card networks, or fintech.
• Experience working with stakeholders across the globe.
