What you will do

• Forecast engineering, materials, and manufacturing requirements and communicate demand signals to suppliers.
• Lead the Materials Core Team and coordinate product development deliverables across buyers, planners, production control, and engineering.
• Create, release, and update materials strategies for new projects and execute commercialization materials plans.
• Support supplier selection, price and delivery negotiations, contract activities, risk assessments, and supplier performance monitoring.
• Manage materials change control, cost objectives, total landed cost indicators, and quality issue resolution.
• Identify critical and long-lead parts, develop supplier and commodity road maps, and mediate supplier quality issues with engineering and quality teams.

Requirements

• Deep technical expertise in the relevant sourcing or materials discipline and broad knowledge of related functional areas.
• Experience leading projects with notable risk and complexity and developing execution strategies.
• Ability to solve unique, complex business problems through conceptual and innovative thinking.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas and influence senior stakeholders.
• Ability to work from the Santa Clara, California location.
• Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time.
