Salary: $99,000–$225,000 annualized USD.

What you will do

  • Support the GPS program office in developing and fielding advanced satellite capabilities.
  • Lead the end-to-end requirements lifecycle, including CONOPS refinement, derivation, allocation, verification planning, and baseline management.
  • Execute and support trade studies, alternatives analysis, technical feasibility assessments, and risk evaluations for complex space-system capabilities.
  • Integrate capability needs into specifications, system requirements documents, and RFP technical volumes.
  • Evaluate contractor proposals and guide technical assessment criteria, compliance reviews, and strengths-and-weaknesses analysis.
  • Oversee contractor execution and verify alignment between system designs, implementation, technical baselines, and program goals.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of systems engineering experience on DoD or national security space systems.
  • 5+ years of experience with satellite architecture, payload systems, bus subsystems, space vehicle integration, or operations.
  • 5+ years of experience with major program reviews, including SRR, SDR, SFR, PDR, CDR, MRR, TRR, FCA, or PCA.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Secret clearance and eligibility to access classified information are required.
  • Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical findings to senior stakeholders.

Nice to have

  • Experience with GPS, PNT, NAVWAR, or satellite navigation systems.
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering or digital engineering toolchains.
  • Experience with Major Defense Acquisition Program documentation and DoD acquisition, systems engineering, test, and production policies.
  • Experience with system verification, validation, certification, manufacturing, integration, testing, or launch readiness.
  • TS/SCI clearance or a master’s degree in a related engineering or space-operations field.
