Engineering Manager, OS, Robot Software (Embedded)

Salary: $276,100–$311,400 annually, plus equity.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, grow, hire, and retain a high-performing OS engineering team.
• Own team planning, resourcing, roadmap execution, delivery, quality, and operational reliability.
• Set technical direction and own the outcomes of the team's architecture and technology decisions.
• Guide OS foundations across system design, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Bring up new hardware platforms, optimize build, packaging, and deployment systems, and scale releases across heterogeneous devices.
• Collaborate with vehicle software, model development, hardware, OEM, and external partner teams to resolve risks and dependencies.

Requirements

• Engineering management experience leading, hiring, coaching, and performance-managing a high-performing software or systems team.
• Experience owning a team's roadmap and delivering products through planning, prioritization, resourcing, and accountability.
• Hands-on experience architecting and delivering embedded software shipped to real customers, with high-performance, low-latency C and C++ knowledge.
• Solid understanding of the Linux kernel, device trees, board support packages, embedded build and packaging systems, software updates, OTA, QNX, security, and SIL/HIL testing.
• Experience developing reliable, high-performance peripheral drivers across low- and high-speed devices such as PCIe.
• Ability to lead cross-functional projects, manage direct reports across different time zones, and work with external partners and vendors.

Nice to have

• Experience with NVIDIA DriveOS.
• Experience with microkernels or real-time operating systems such as QNX.
• Experience with NVIDIA Jetson or Drive, Qualcomm, AMD, or Renesas compute platforms.
