Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Operator

Location: Livingston, New Jersey, United States; 24/7 on-site work with rotating night, weekend, and holiday shifts.

Salary: $65,000–$95,000 base salary per year, plus eligible discretionary bonus, equity awards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Continuously monitor Genetec Security Center, CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, alarm, environmental, and life-safety systems.
• Validate alarms, troubleshoot first-line issues, escalate system faults, and coordinate restoration of monitoring capability.
• Process physical-access and credential requests, verify identities, manage credentials, and conduct authorized after-hours virtual escorts.
• Coordinate physical-security, life-safety, cyber-physical, and monitoring-degradation incidents, including onsite response, CCTV review, evidence preservation, and ownership transfer.
• Maintain incident records, shift logs, handovers, timelines, reports, advisories, BOLOs, SITREPs, and follow-up actions.
• Operate radio dispatch and emergency-notification systems while coordinating communications with internal teams, security personnel, service providers, responders, and authorized stakeholders.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in a GSOC/PSOC, dispatch center, emergency operations center, data center security, critical-infrastructure monitoring, or related environment.
• Working knowledge of CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, alarm monitoring, incident management, and emergency communications systems.
• Experience with Genetec Security Center or a comparable security platform.
• Experience with incident-management and collaboration tools such as Ontic, Jira, Slack, Google Workspace, or comparable systems.
• Ability to assess risk, prioritize competing events, make timely decisions, escalate appropriately, and coordinate responses under pressure.
• Must be able to work on-site in Livingston, NJ on rotating 24/7 shifts. Export-controlled information access is subject to applicable U.S. Government eligibility requirements.

Nice to have

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Information Technology, Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, or equivalent industry experience.
• DHS Incident Command System training, including ICS-100 or ICS-200.
• Genetec certification, ASIS PSP, CPP, or related security certifications.
• Experience in data centers, corporate security, emergency operations, public-safety dispatch, or critical infrastructure.
• Familiarity with PagerDuty, Everbridge, Wave PTX, HID Origo, ClearID, Alcatraz, BioConnect, biometric access control, credentialing, or key management.
