Drug & Occupational Health Screening Specialist

Location: Nashville, Tennessee, United States; expected to work from the office 3+ days a week. Relocation to a Checkr hub may be supported.

Salary: $43,000–$54,000 USD annual on-target earnings or base salary range for Nashville, TN.

What you will do

• Manage an assigned queue of at-risk drug and occupational health screening reports and determine appropriate outreach.
• Proactively notify customers about canceled reports, turnaround-time breaches, and other at-risk statuses.
• Coordinate directly with clinics to advance stalled results and obtain missing documentation.
• Send scheduling and status updates to candidates for defined outreach triggers.
• Use judgment to resolve cases outside standard operating procedures and document resolutions.
• Identify recurring failure points and flag process gaps to the broader program.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in a customer-facing, vendor-facing, or coordination-heavy role.
• Comfort communicating by phone for extended periods while remaining persistent and professional.
• HIPAA awareness and sound judgment regarding the sharing or requesting of PII and PHI in clinic conversations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and comfort operating in ambiguity when standard operating procedures do not fully cover a situation.
• A track record of identifying patterns and escalating systemic issues rather than only closing individual cases.
• A strong bias for action, resilience through ambiguity, ownership, urgency, and focus on meaningful outcomes.
