Company

hirify.global develops reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems, including the New Glenn heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle.

What you will do

  • Design and develop guidance, control, and sequencing algorithms across New Glenn flight phases.
  • Define GN&C requirements and flow them down to subsystem and software levels with verification methods.
  • Build Simulink algorithms for auto-code generation and implement hand-coded flight software in C/C++ where appropriate.
  • Assess stability, performance, and robustness using linear and nonlinear models and Monte Carlo simulations.
  • Author and execute unit tests, maintain code coverage standards, and support formal verification activities.
  • Support hardware-in-the-loop integration and test campaigns, including validation against test and flight data.

Requirements

  • B.S. in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in aerospace guidance and control or simulation.
  • Experience designing and analyzing algorithms in MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.
  • U.S. citizenship or nationality, U.S. permanent residency, or qualifying refugee/asylee status is required.

Nice to have

  • M.S. in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Knowledge of classical and modern control design techniques.
  • Experience with C/C++ flight software, Simulink auto-code generation, Monte Carlo analysis, and statistical methods.
  • Experience with hardware-in-the-loop or flight test campaigns and plant model validation.
  • Python scripting and familiarity with flight software verification processes, including unit testing, code coverage, and requirements traceability.

Culture & Benefits

  • Safety, collaboration, inclusion, trust, equality, and teamwork are emphasized.
  • Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and short- and long-term disability coverage.
  • Paid parental leave, up to four weeks of paid time off per year, and up to 14 company-paid holidays.
