Postdoctoral Fellow - Discovery Protein Science

Location: Onsite laboratory position at the South San Francisco, California site, United States

Salary: $100,000 annual salary

What you will do

• Construct and validate protein libraries for autoantigen profiling.
• Apply protein libraries to profile antibody binding in complex mixtures.
• Develop methods supporting target identification and biomarker discovery.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with scientists across the drug discovery process.
• Disseminate scientific findings through publications and conference presentations.

Requirements

• PhD required by the time of appointment in molecular biology, chemical biology, biochemistry, or a related life sciences discipline.
• Experience independently designing, executing, and interpreting experiments.
• Experience with sequence- and structure-based construct design, protein expression improvement, and high-efficiency cloning.
• Excellent critical thinking, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse scientific team.

Nice to have

• First-author publications and a strong publication record.
• Experience with protein library construction, mammalian cell culture, flow cytometry, and NGS analysis workflows.
