Director of Product Design (AI)

Location: Remote U.S.; must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employer sponsorship.

Salary: $275,000–$323,000 annual cash compensation, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Set the vision and design strategy for the Risk product area and define a new experience for an AI-centric workflow builder.
• Lead, mentor, hire, and develop a high-performing team of product designers.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Research, Content Design, Design Systems, and Go-to-Market teams to shape strategy and deliver cohesive experiences.
• Design scalable workflows for risks, assets, vendors, controls, tasks, frameworks, owners, approvals, and organizational hierarchies.
• Guide enterprise-grade risk registers, dashboards, reporting experiences, and workflows that clarify customers’ risk posture.
• Define and measure design impact while representing Design in leadership, planning, and product review discussions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience designing digital products, including significant leadership experience in complex B2B SaaS or enterprise software.
• 4+ years of experience managing and developing product designers, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and career development.
• Experience designing intuitive workflows for complex, data-rich, or highly configurable products.
• Strong product and systems thinking, interaction design, information architecture, visual design, storytelling, and customer-centered research skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• U.S. work authorization is required; current or future employer sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience in risk management, cybersecurity, compliance, GRC, IT, infrastructure, financial services, or another complex and regulated domain.
• Experience creating scalable design-system patterns for growing products.
• Experience applying AI responsibly to improve product design efficiency and impact.
