TL;DR
Associate Director, Publications (Clinical and Scientific Communications): Leading aligned dissemination plans and developing clinical, health-outcomes, PKPD, and disease-state publications with an accent on scientific narrative, publication quality, and cross-functional coordination. Focus on translating statistical findings into clear communications, managing publication timelines and budgets, and maintaining compliant post-publication records.

Location: Warren, New Jersey or Sleepy Hollow, New York; on-site four days per week. Hybrid and fully remote work are not offered. Relocation benefits may be available if eligible.

Salary: $157,200–$256,600 annually

What you will do

  • Lead the development and execution of scientific, clinical, health-outcomes, PKPD, and disease-state publications.
  • Shape scientific narratives and translate statistical findings into clear strategic communications.
  • Guide cross-functional and alliance-wide publication teams in collaboration with medical and scientific experts.
  • Manage publication timelines, quality, efficiency, budgets, forecasting, and resource allocation.
  • Identify gaps and opportunities to evolve publication strategy.
  • Review and submit manuscripts, abstracts, and presentations while tracking post-publication metrics and maintaining compliant records.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in science with 8+ years of related experience, or a PhD, PharmD, or MD with 5+ years of experience in medical affairs, publications, or scientific communications.
  • Strong publication, writing, and editing skills.
  • Working knowledge of Good Publication Practice (GPP 2022), ICMJE, OIG, the PhRMA Code, the Sunshine Act, and copyright and permission guidelines.
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and drug development partners.
  • Ability to work on-site four days per week in Warren, NJ or Sleepy Hollow, NY.

Nice to have

  • Experience in oncology, ophthalmology, or hematology.
