Capital Markets Analyst (Finance)

Location: Chicago, Illinois, USA; hybrid work with at least 3 days per week in-office

Base salary: $66,000–$112,000 per year, plus annual bonus or commission, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Gather, analyze, and interpret ownership data, shareholder positions, peer benchmarks, and market trends.
• Prepare accurate and timely reports that translate market data into actionable investor relations insights.
• Act as the primary contact for assigned client accounts and align service with their investor relations needs.
• Conduct client outreach covering market developments, sector updates, and strategic considerations.
• Develop presentation materials and support senior colleagues in client meetings.
• Collaborate with global colleagues and internal partners to share knowledge and deliver consistent client service.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in capital markets, investor relations, financial services, or a comparable client-facing role.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex datasets and communicate actionable findings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with comfort using data tools and models.
• Clear communication and strong interpersonal skills for engaging with clients and senior stakeholders.
• Availability to work in the Chicago office at least 3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience working directly with investor relations teams or publicly traded companies.
• Familiarity with shareholder analysis, buy-side research, or equity capital markets.
• Experience collaborating with global or cross-border teams.
