Senior Fullstack Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Own the voice channel end to end, including telephony and CPaaS integrations, streaming speech-to-text and text-to-speech pipelines, realtime model orchestration, and latency and quality budgets.
• Build product features across React/TypeScript front ends, Scala and Python backend services, and GCP infrastructure.
• Design multi-tenant systems that serve multiple partners through configuration rather than code forks.
• Build safety and compliance capabilities, including guardrails, content filtering, and PII redaction integration points.
• Maintain revenue-critical deployments through observability, alerting, incident response, rollback planning, and SLA management.
• Develop platform capabilities for partner telephony integrations and go-lives while raising engineering standards through reviews and mentoring.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with senior-level ownership of production systems and full-stack range.
• Hands-on experience with realtime systems, voice applications, WebRTC/SIP, streaming media, or comparable low-latency products.
• Strong React and TypeScript skills, backend depth in Scala or another JVM language and/or Python, and cloud infrastructure experience with GCP or AWS.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining RESTful APIs, microservices, or event-driven systems.
• Experience with observability, SLAs, on-call rotations, rollback plans, pragmatic tradeoffs, and iterative delivery.
• The engagement is an independent contractor arrangement in Ireland; candidates must operate as self-employed individuals or through a Personal Service Company, provide valid business registration, and maintain appropriate professional indemnity insurance.

Nice to have

• Conversational AI or LLM orchestration experience and speech technologies such as Deepgram, ElevenLabs, Whisper, or OpenAI Realtime.
• Experience with Twilio, Amazon Connect, Genesys, or LiveKit.
• Experience building customer service, CRM, contact center, or workflow automation tools.
• Familiarity with travel technologies such as PSS/GDS and hotel PMS/CRS.
