Annual salary: $154,000–$286,000 in California, plus potential bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Improve the place-and-route foundation and infrastructure of the Virtuoso platform.
• Apply advanced mathematics, computer science, graph theory, and machine learning to routing problems.
• Develop and integrate AI/ML applications using Python and LLM APIs.
• Prototype solutions with open-source AI/ML projects.
• Collaborate in a fast-paced research and development environment.
• Analyze, debug, and solve complex software and routing problems.

Requirements

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of professional experience.
• Strong foundation in machine learning, deep learning, NLP, LLMs, and core machine learning algorithms.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn.
• Understanding of RAG, vector databases, and LLM API integration.
• Strong analytical thinking and debugging skills.

Nice to have

• C++ experience.
• Knowledge of analog circuit design, layout, and VLSI design flow.
