Software Engineer, GeoTech Team

hirify.global is a growing startup mapping subsurface infrastructure and providing real-time utility data for the construction industry.

What you will do

• Design and implement software solutions aligned with project goals.
• Process and structure incoming product data while maintaining data quality for the utilities map.
• Build and manage ETL workflows, databases, and other data infrastructure components.
• Design CI/CD processes for data processing, releases, testing, and monitoring.
• Develop and optimize Python-based applications and services for efficient, accurate data processing.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and QA engineers; provide technical guidance and address technical debt.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a backend or software engineer with strong Python skills.
• Experience with AI development tools and an interest in developing an AI-first engineering workflow.
• Familiarity with Airflow or comparable orchestration tools.
• Experience with AWS, PostgreSQL/SQL, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Strong debugging skills.
• Fluent written and verbal English required.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of GIS or geospatial development experience, including PostGIS, GeoParquet, GDAL, or coordinate systems.
• Civil engineering experience.
• Experience with message queues.
• Experience with ArgoCD, Helm, or KEDA in Kubernetes environments.
