Principal Machine Learning Architect (AI)

Location: Seattle, Washington preferred; remote/hybrid work available. Occasional travel 1–3 times per year is expected for company-sponsored events.

Salary: $183,000–$257,000 per year, plus bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Lead technical discovery with Product Managers and customers, translating emerging healthcare workflows into end-to-end AI architectures.
• Set architectural direction for agent-based solutions that can scale to support future capabilities.
• Build prototypes and proof-of-concept experiences to validate feasibility, demonstrate value, and gather clinical and customer feedback.
• Work with early-stage customers to understand their environments, identify adoption barriers, and shape evolving requirements.
• Partner with Software Engineers and Data Scientists to move concepts into reliable, scalable products.
• Communicate architecture decisions, risks, tradeoffs, and execution plans across technical, clinical, product, and customer audiences.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Machine Learning Engineering or a related field.
• Experience designing and shipping large-scale AI solutions with a focus on reliability and scalability.
• Strong architectural judgment and the ability to make long-term design decisions.
• Experience working with early-stage customers and shaping requirements from incomplete information.
• Experience collaborating across Product, Software Engineering, Data Science, clinical teams, and customer stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with deep learning, natural language processing, or related AI methods.
• Experience in healthcare or with medical data.
