Senior Medical Copywriter (Biopharma)

Location: Remote or hybrid; must reside in or have legal authorization to work in the United States. Candidates in the Boston, MA area who can occasionally commute to the office are highly preferred. Expected working hours are 8:30am–5pm EST, with occasional early or late calls for global collaboration.

What you will do

• Develop, edit, and update omnichannel copy for emails, websites, banners, social media, sales materials, slide decks, posters, patient guides, and conference materials, with a primary focus on email content.
• Translate complex scientific information into clear, audience-appropriate communications for healthcare professionals and patients.
• Ensure content follows FDA regulations, Fair Balance standards, local legislation, brand requirements, and internal MLR/PRC policies.
• Validate claims and data, manage citations and versioning, and support content through MLR/PRC review and submission workflows.
• Use Veeva PromoMats for linking and anchoring during document submissions, and apply reviewer edits while preserving clarity and accuracy.
• Collaborate with designers, brand teams, production, project managers, clients, and PRC reviewers while contributing to quality audits, templates, checklists, and SOP improvements.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in medical communications, marketing, advertising agency, or a similar environment.
• Experience as a biopharma copywriter, including commercial asset development and regulatory writing or editing.
• Hands-on experience with MLR/PRC workflows, FDA requirements, claim validation, and reference management.
• Portfolio covering both digital and print medical communications, with strong editorial precision, fact-checking, and attention to detail.
• Fluent American English.
• BA, BS, or relevant health science education; ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines.

Nice to have

• Client-side healthcare experience and understanding of the US medical and pharmaceutical landscape.
• Exposure to Generative AI tools, prompt engineering, and platforms such as Jasper AI.
• Knowledge of Jira, Microsoft 365, Figma, Adobe Acrobat, WCAG accessibility, HIPAA, and social media platform policies.
