Senior Accountant (Insurance)

Location: Minneapolis, MN, USA; based in the Minneapolis office

Salary: $75,000–$85,000 annual

What you will do

• Prepare monthly journal entries and support full-cycle month-end close activities in agency and ERP systems.
• Reconcile balance sheet and other accounts, run monthly close reports, and meet strict deadlines.
• Process and maintain accurate transaction documentation in line with corporate and industry quality-control standards.
• Maintain the fixed asset roster and review and approve supplier invoice accuracy.
• Calculate ASC 606 monthly and quarterly entries and manage a portfolio with an elevated level of difficulty.
• Train GL Accounting team members and build effective working relationships with office staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• 3–5 years of full-cycle general ledger accounting experience.
• Insurance industry experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Teams, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to meet deadlines and follow established accounting and quality-control procedures.
