Service Engineer (Automation)

What you will do

• Troubleshoot and modify PLC programs using Allen Bradley Studio 5000 or B&R Automation Studio.
• Update operator interfaces for machine control utilizing Allen Bradley FT View Studio.
• Collaborate with Service Engineering to support retrofits, repairs, and system changes.
• Identify obsolete components and propose technical upgrades to customers.
• Integrate third-party equipment into existing machine functions.
• Perform on-site repair, maintenance, and SLA services, requiring regular travel (75%+).

Requirements

• A.S. degree in Electrical Technology, Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, or equivalent experience (B.S. preferred).
• 3+ years of industry programming experience.
• Experience with Allen Bradley and B&R controls components; Fanuc robots experience is preferred.
• Ability to read and understand electrical wiring prints.
• Ability to travel 75%+ of the time to customer facilities.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, or VB.
• Experience with E-plan.
• Previous experience working within a manufacturing facility.
