Director of Finance

Location: Hybrid in London or Copenhagen; office attendance 3 days per week

Salary: Up to £126,000 gross/year in London or up to DKK 101,510 gross/month in Copenhagen, based on experience.

What you will do

• Own the group month-end close, accounting sign-off, consolidation, intercompany eliminations, payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliation, and cash visibility.
• Set group posting controls and chart-of-accounts policies across multiple entities and currencies.
• Manage and develop the group accounting team, including third-party bookkeepers and direct reports.
• Modernize and automate finance processes while maintaining strong financial controls and partnering with FP&A on forecast-to-actual reconciliation and board reporting.
• Own the ERP system and lead technical accounting input for strategic projects, product development, invoice generation, and VAT systems.
• Lead external audit coordination with PwC, statutory audit, group compliance, transfer pricing, and AI adoption across finance.

Requirements

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification with significant post-qualification experience.
• Experience managing diverse finance teams across geographies.
• Experience with group consolidation, transfer pricing, multi-entity accounting, and predictable month-end close processes.
• Experience building bespoke finance solutions with AI; comfort learning and adopting AI-powered tools is required.
• Experience with ERP systems; ERP migration or transition leadership is beneficial.
• Proficient spoken and written English is required for regular communication with global colleagues and partners.

Nice to have

• SaaS or fintech experience.
• Experience in regulated financial services, including e-money or payments.
• Danish language skills.
• Experience evaluating ERPs or leading an ERP transition.
