Cyber Operations Engineer (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Champion vulnerability management, cloud security, and cybersecurity best practices across hirify.global.
• Monitor, assess, and prioritize vulnerabilities across infrastructure, cloud platforms, applications, and operational technology environments.
• Communicate remediation priorities and coordinate remediation with IT owners, service providers, vendors, and business stakeholders.
• Manage the outsourced vulnerability management provider, including governance, reporting, service delivery, and continuous improvement.
• Develop vulnerability management standards, procedures, metrics, dashboards, and governance processes.
• Support SOC monitoring, investigations, incident response, cyber exercises, security reviews, and initiatives involving AI, automation, and emerging technologies.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in IT and/or cybersecurity, including vulnerability management, cybersecurity engineering, security operations, or cloud security.
• Experience in complex operational environments involving critical infrastructure, internal stakeholders, technology vendors, managed service providers, and outsourced security providers.
• Knowledge of vulnerability remediation, cloud security governance, OT or industrial control system security, incident response, threat assessment, malware analysis, and Indicators of Compromise.
• Experience with SOC, SIEM, EDR/XDR, threat intelligence, risk management, remediation planning, reporting, metrics, stakeholder communication, project delivery, and vendor management.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, MITRE ATT&CK, and Cyber Essentials.
• Honours Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent, in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Nice to have

• Governance, audit, compliance, or cybersecurity improvement experience.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CySA+, Microsoft security certifications, cloud security certifications, vulnerability management certifications, or incident response certifications.
• Membership of a recognized cybersecurity, information security, technology, or risk management body.
