IT Asset & Licence Manager

Location: Doncaster or Leeds, UK; hybrid with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. Occasional travel to other UK sites is required.

Salary: £50,000–£60,000 per annum, dependent on experience.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of IT hardware, software, licences, cloud services, and contracts from procurement through secure disposal.
• Manage software licence purchasing, supplier engagement, goods receipting, and entitlement tracking.
• Maintain asset registers, CMDB records, contract data, and supplier documentation as a reliable source of truth.
• Conduct audits and reconciliations to identify and remediate unlicensed, unmanaged, or non-compliant assets.
• Produce reporting for cost optimisation, renewals, lifecycle forecasting, and CapEx/OpEx decisions.
• Establish and improve ITAM and SAM standards, processes, and controls.

Requirements

• 5–6 years of experience in IT Asset Management, Software Asset Management, licence compliance, or a closely related discipline.
• Dedicated professional experience in asset and licence management as a core responsibility.
• Working knowledge of CMDB and ITSM tools, licence audits, reconciliation processes, and ITIL-aligned service management.
• Understanding of software licensing, supplier and contract management, and compliance obligations.
• Strong analytical skills with a methodical, evidence-based approach to governance and control.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally to other UK sites.
