Senior Materials & Corrosion Engineer (Oil & Gas): Leading materials and corrosion engineering design for offshore and onshore oil and gas projects across FEED and detailed engineering phases with an accent on material selection, corrosion control strategies, and compliance with industry standards. Focus on corrosion rate modelling, preparing technical deliverables, integrating materials engineering across disciplines, and resolving complex project and site-related challenges.

What you will do
- Provide technical leadership for materials and corrosion engineering during FEED and detailed engineering phases.
- Prepare material selection reports and diagrams, corrosion control manuals, adequacy checks, specifications, design calculations, and material take-offs.
- Develop corrosion control, monitoring, chemical injection, coatings, painting, and cathodic protection scopes and specifications.
- Perform corrosion rate modelling using recognized software, including ECE 5.8 or later.
- Coordinate materials and corrosion inputs with process, piping, mechanical, and other engineering disciplines.
- Support site surveys, process safety studies, third-party reviews, client and vendor interfaces, budgets, schedules, and project execution.
Requirements
- Minimum 12 years of overall experience, including at least 8 years in dedicated materials and corrosion design engineering within the oil and gas industry.
- Experience with both onshore and offshore facilities in the Middle East, including greenfield and brownfield projects.
- Working knowledge of ADNOC Group engineering standards, technical specifications, and project execution requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
- Knowledge of FEED and detailed engineering deliverables, Management of Change processes, document control, and project execution methodologies.
- Strong analytical, technical writing, communication, stakeholder management, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with offshore production facilities, wellhead platforms, central processing facilities, utilities, and associated infrastructure.
- Participation in cathodic protection adequacy checks, workshops, HAZID, HAZOP, and related risk assessments.
- Awareness of emerging materials and corrosion technologies, digitalization initiatives, and value-engineering opportunities.
