Senior Data Engineer (Cloud, Data Integration & Migration)

Location: Hybrid, London, England, United Kingdom. Candidates must have a pre-existing right to work and travel within the UK and be eligible for UK Security Clearance.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL and ELT pipelines.
• Build data integration solutions across cloud, on-premise, and third-party systems.
• Design and deliver data migration processes covering extraction, transformation, validation, reconciliation, and cutover.
• Develop and optimise data warehouses, data lakes, and lakehouse solutions.
• Perform data profiling, root cause analysis, data quality assessments, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders on requirements, governance, security, compliance, mappings, and technical documentation.

Requirements

• Eligibility for UK Security Clearance and pre-existing right to work and travel within the UK are required.
• Demonstrable data engineering experience delivering complex data migration and data integration projects.
• Experience working with large and complex datasets across AWS and Microsoft Azure.
• Strong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Amazon Redshift, and Amazon Athena.
• Practical experience with AWS Glue, Amazon S3, AWS Lambda, AWS Step Functions, Amazon QuickSight, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure SQL.
• Knowledge of ETL and ELT design, data integration architectures, data modelling, data profiling, data quality management, validation, and reconciliation.
