What you will do
- Maintain airside areas free of foreign object debris (FOD) to protect aircraft and support safe airport operations.
- Operate heavy fleet, specialist equipment, and ground support equipment near aircraft, including towing and equipment removal.
- Respond to aircraft, vehicle, wildlife-strike, spill, and other airside incidents, supporting clean-up and recovery operations.
- Perform winter operations, including apron anti-icing and de-icing, and recover glycol to reduce environmental impact.
- Support airfield asset management through grassland and hedgerow maintenance, storm-water drainage work, and airfield paint marking or removal.
- Escort vehicles and external contractors, assist with risk assessments, move Delta Blocks, and support Airside Operations and Safety Officers.
Requirements
- Full clean driving licence covering B, BE, C, and W; a full clean C licence is strongly preferred.
- Applicants without a C licence must complete and pass the required lessons within six months of being awarded the role.
- Experience working in an outdoor operational environment; airside and airline or airport operations experience is desirable.
- Strong customer service, teamwork, interpersonal, initiative, ownership, responsibility, attention to detail, and flexibility skills.
- Awareness of airside safety information, the Aerodrome Manual, the Airside Safety Management System, and environmental duty of care.
- Understanding of the DUB Winter Snow & Ice Plan and willingness to complete required specialised vehicle and radio training.
