Linguistic QA Tester (Gaming)

Location: On-site in Madrid, Spain; candidates must already have the right to work in Spain.

hirify.global provides linguistic quality assurance and localisation testing services for video games, working across indie and AAA titles.

What you will do

• Test game localisation for linguistic accuracy, natural phrasing, cultural suitability, and consistency across menus, messages, and in-game content.
• Report linguistic defects clearly in professional bug databases, track their progress, and verify completed fixes.
• Work with testers, translators, developers, and other stakeholders throughout the LQA cycle.
• Write and refine test cases, document findings, and follow established LQA testing methods.
• Take ownership of assigned projects and help improve testing workflows, knowledge sharing, and best practices.

Requirements

• Hungarian at a near-native level and confident written and spoken English are required.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, initiative, curiosity, and the ability to work under pressure.
• Comfort using databases, spreadsheets, testing tools, and Microsoft Office.
• Existing legal right to work in Spain is required.
• Availability for onsite work in the Madrid office is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in LQA, translation, or proofreading.
• Familiarity with translation systems, test case management tools, or text editing platforms.
• Knowledge of gaming trends and gaming culture.
• A degree in linguistics or a related field.
