TL;DR
Lead Specialist (Inventory, Cost Accounting and Reporting) (Manufacturing Finance): Managing month-end inventory and cost accounting activities, reporting, reconciliations, and audit support with an accent on inventory valuation, product costing, SAP MM, and internal controls. Focus on analyzing plant closing results, improving accounting processes, maintaining SOP documentation, and coordinating with finance teams across regions and time zones.
Location: Hyderabad, Telangana, India. Hybrid work environment with 3 days from the office and 2 days remote. General shifts are 8:00 AM–5:00 PM or 9:30 AM–6:30 PM; during month-end closing, work may follow APAC, EMEA, or US shifts for 3–5 days.

What you will do
- Perform month-end and in-month inventory and cost accounting activities, including plant closing and inventory valuation.
- Conduct pre- and post-close analysis, inventory general ledger reconciliations, and transfer profit reconciliations.
- Provide subject-matter expertise and support to regional business analysts, finance managers, and controllers.
- Prepare metrics, dashboards, and KPIs for management reporting.
- Drive process improvements and maintain up-to-date SOP documentation.
- Support internal controls, SOX and non-SOX compliance, and internal and external audits.
Requirements
- Semi-qualified or qualified Cost Accountant with 2–4 years of relevant cost accounting experience.
- Exposure to SAP MM and an ERP environment.
- Knowledge of manufacturing accounting, inventory accounting, and product costing and pricing.
- Strong understanding of business processes and systems, with effective organization and time-management skills.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple teams across countries, centers, and time zones.
- Willingness to work in APAC, EMEA, or US shifts during month-end closing and in a hybrid arrangement with 3 office days per week.
