Fullstack Java Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Krakow, Poland; hybrid work with weekly office time and flexibility to work from home. Occasional travel may be required. Working hours may support multiple jurisdictions, including EMEA, USA and APAC.

What you will do

• Design, develop and integrate new capabilities into a financial analytics platform.
• Build applications that provide insights into trading data, including order entry and market data.
• Develop analytics solutions combining financial services and network data.
• Apply CI/CD best practices to deliver secure, high-performance and maintainable systems.
• Advise on domain matters and troubleshoot production deployments.
• Collaborate with the Machine Learning team to integrate new algorithms.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent qualification.
• At least 2 years of experience with Java and Python.
• Experience with automated unit testing and integration testing.
• Ability to write maintainable, modular code in line with coding standards.
• Understanding of high-availability and high-performance system development.
• Commitment to technology, design, code quality and appropriate testing practices.

Nice to have

• Database design and SQL query development.
• Experience with Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Druid, Presto or similar technologies.
• RESTful web services and in-memory solutions experience.
• Knowledge of real-time/streaming and batch processing in big data platforms.
• Experience developing distributed solutions for large, complex datasets and familiarity with financial services concepts.
