Principal Anaplan Architect

Location: United States; corporate headquarters in Thousand Oaks, California, with conditions also listed for Washington, D.C. The role requires availability for evening or night shifts, including possible second- or third-shift schedules.

What you will do

• Define and implement architectural principles and standards across Anaplan models.
• Lead model building and validation, including modules, calculations, security, workflows, and performance optimization.
• Partner with Product Owners and subject-matter experts to prioritize application focus and rollout plans.
• Plan and manage technology roadmaps with Finance stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing for less experienced team members.
• Lead operational support for deployed Anaplan solutions in a DevOps model and maintain SDLC documentation in Agile tools.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree plus 2 years of Information Systems experience; or a master's degree plus 4 years; bachelor's degree plus 6 years; associate degree plus 10 years; or high school diploma/GED plus 12 years.
• Proven experience implementing and managing multiple Anaplan planning solutions.
• Anaplan Certified Solution Architect or Master Anaplanner certification.
• Experience working in DevOps teams and using Agile tools such as Jira.
• Strong analytical thinking, technical leadership, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Availability for evening or night shifts, including possible second- or third-shift schedules, is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with scenario planning and AI/ML modeling.
• Experience with cloud ETL tools such as Databricks and Power BI.
• Strong solution design, transformation, change management, and requirements analysis experience.
