Systems & Applications Engineer (Embedded C)

What you will do

• Provide application support for application-specific microprocessors and microcontrollers in collaboration with customers, partners, IC design teams, and systems engineering teams.
• Develop firmware and customize embedded software for large customers using NXP technology.
• Create demos and reference designs for emerging markets.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to define next-generation products.
• Participate in new product introduction and product enhancement activities.
• Train customers and sales teams to promote adoption of NXP technology.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar field.
• High proficiency in C programming.
• Experience with embedded systems-on-chip, especially ARM Cortex architectures.
• Experience using embedded software programming and debugging tools.
• Experience in embedded software development and debugging, including operating systems, device drivers, or connectivity stacks such as BLE, Thread, 802.15.4, Zigbee, or Wi-Fi.
• Technical writing skills for application notes, white papers, user guides, or reference manuals.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python or C++.
• RTOS experience with FreeRTOS, Azure, Zephyr, or QNX.
• Experience with SoC design, architecture, validation, and application teams.
• Experience developing design specifications for PCB reference designs and validation board hardware.
