Threat Surveillance Countermeasure Specialist (Cybersecurity)

Location: North Chicago, Illinois, United States. Global travel is required based on business needs.

Salary: $109,500–$208,500 per year, plus benefits and eligibility for long-term incentive programs.

What you will do

• Conduct technical surveillance countermeasure inspections in varied environments to detect and mitigate surveillance threats.
• Use specialized equipment to identify unauthorized electronic devices, radio-frequency emissions, and potential espionage tools.
• Analyze technical data and prepare detailed reports and actionable security recommendations.
• Develop counter-surveillance strategies and security policies with security teams.
• Perform risk assessments and vulnerability analyses, and advise management and executive teams on security enhancements.
• Train staff on security policies, threat awareness, and protective measures while maintaining and calibrating TSCM equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Information Security, or a related discipline is preferred.
• At least 7 years of experience in TSCM, electronic security, or a related field.
• TSCM or related certification is required.
• Strong knowledge of surveillance technologies and countermeasure techniques, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret technical data, present clear reports, work independently, and handle sensitive situations discreetly.
• Security clearance may be required depending on the nature of the work.

• First-aid and self-defense certifications.
• LEOSA concealed-carry license or legal authorization to carry a firearm.
